What is Rehabilitation Therapy?

“Where there is no movement there is pain. Where it there is movement there is no pain.” — Traditional Chinese saying.

Rehabilitation is specialized area of veterinary medicine that uses exercises and therapeutic modalities to promote, aid, and improve mobility in our canine and feline patients. By combining therapeutic exercises with acupuncture, laser therapy, medications, supplements, water therapy, injectables we can help the body heal from injuries, surgeries, and grow stronger. Mobility and quality of life in both young sporting animals and geriatrics improve tremendously

Dr. Monica employs a variety of rehabilitation techniques to enhance your pet’s mobility. Whether addressing chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis or acute post-operative recovery, Dr. Monica is dedicated to helping your pet feel better and regain function. Her methods include massage, stretching, passive range of motion, and specific exercises. Each rehabilitation plan is tailored to meet your pet’s unique needs.
