“vet-tech – a person who has a big heart and a thoughtful mind, they have the strength to do what is right when it hurts and always have the deepest love for all creatures.

Technician services are now available for clients and their beloved pets. These services are provided by our skilled veterinary nurses under the direction of Dr. Monica. Some treatments include:

  • Injectable medications such as Librela, Adequan and Vitamin B12.
  • Other services: subcutaneous fluids, laser therapy, medication administration, basic rehabilitation exercises such as passive range of motion and massage.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have addressed some important topics and also answered some common questions in our FAQs section but please feel free to reach out if you have additional concerns!

Technicians are highly trained and skilled animal professionals that can provide treatments such as injections, fluid therapy, medication administration and rehab exercises all under Dr. Monica’s guidance. An initial visit with Dr Monica is necessary to establish a legal veterinary/patient/client relationship and to establish a medical plan. All follow up visits can be done with our technician only. On occasion, a follow up visit may be recommended with Dr Monica to determine response to therapy, etc. In addition, a yearly doctor exam with Dr Monica is required by Florida law to maintain a valid veterinary/patient/client relationship.

PAW is lucky to have Kristen Tobey as our dedicated travel tech. Dr Monica and Kristen met at Veterinary Medical Clinic in South Tampa. Dr Monica and Kristen worked closely together treating patients for illnesses, routine preventative care and acupuncture therapy. They still work together on a limited basis at Veterinary Medical Clinic.
